This months UK edition of Wired magazine has a short write up about Ian Hart, who distills his gin in Highgate.

His website (http://www.sacredspiritscompany.com/) lists some pubs in Crouch End that stock Sacred gin. I wonder whether we could get it stocked in The Salisbury ?

Would make complete sense. The Salisbury was built specifically as a gin palace.

Dave probably needs a strong drink himself at the moment. A rather large piece of ceiling has fallen down over the bar area thanks to a water leak from a flat above.
