Attempted break in - Ritches Road
Hi
Just a warning to everyone:
we had an attempt to break into our house today. The kitchen window was locked, but someone used a lever to force it open.
Nothing was stolen - indeed nothing seems to have been even touched. They must have climbed through a couple gardens to get here, as there is no direct access from the street.
Double check your locks and keep your eyes peeled!
The police have been informed.

Indeed - I was told by a neighbour of a couple of burglaries in Etherley Rd recently.

The Police - who came quickly and were very helpful - told me that a recent spate of burglaries have targeted gold jewellery. Fortunately Mrs Dan's stunning collection of Faberge, Cartier etc. is hidden, beyond the wit of any thief, in a safe behind the Titian in the billiards room.
