Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!
Attempted break-in in Stanhope Gardens N4
An unidentified female tried to gain access to our flat in Stanhope Gardens N4 yesterday on 13/4/16 under false pretences of being a cleaner sent by our letting agency.
Please warn others and report to police if you see something suspicious.

It is rather concerning indeed. Our neighbour happened to be at home and intervened. The woman told her that she was our cleaner, which is not the case, tried to open our door (said that we must have changed our locks as she was unable to!), then pretended to be calling to our agency to clarify and disappeared from the scene when my neighbour went to shut her door.
Our landlord and the agency has categorically denied sending someone over and has advised us to report the incidence to the police.
Could be a previous tenant or someone checking if someone was at home.
