Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hello,

Has anyone had artificial grass put in and could pass on a recommendation?

Thanks

I used West London grass company for mine & I would recommend them. With hindsight though I wish I'd tried a natural alternative. I had a large paved area which needed some greenery & a softer surface for my toddler. The artificial grass is laid on a surface of coarse sand & it is hardly & has a done a good job. The downsides are that it has low biodiversity potential, limited drainage potential & is a essentially a huge lump of non-biodregradable plastic. The alternative I'd like to have done is to lay a sand/grit layer, soil & then plant some 'mind your own business' plants. It doesn't grow more than a couple of cm so you don't have to mow it. To me this option would have been better for the environment & considerably cheaper than artificial grass. Here's a link of someone else that's done it (sorry it from the Daily Mail!)....http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3188869/Builder-transforms-...

Thanks for the suggestion

You could try Landscape Initiatives , I know they put in artificial grass for someone last year and they were really pleased with it. They have been recommended on here. You could speak to Kieran on 07713 488730

thanks Kathy
