Right now there are groups of people running up our road with hangers full of clothes and jumping into their hot hatchbacks and driving away.

yes on burgoyne there are now about ten young men (early 20s), all hooded, some masked having arrived in a a silver merc

The police have attended and have arrested at least one young male in his late teens/early twenties. More seen running up the road, again with hoods and scarves.

Silver merc crew were joined by a blue BMW and they drove off together.

All of the cars using Endymion as a stop off for 'smash and dash' raids of the Arena last night were hot hatchbacks, less than 3 years old. I would suggest these were not an underclass of underprivileged as suggested on other threads here but professional criminals running from one shopping estate to another.

Lots of noise and sirens going on out there on GL- not going to be a peaceful night I fear. I agree it's rather scary - I experienced the riots in Toxteth (Liverpool) 30 years ago, but I was younger (and stupider) then and saw it as a grand adventure.

Just been down and got back home. The atmosphere is tense, with staff hanging outside shops, too many police vans passing, but it seems OK. There is a stationary police van outside Dreamworld which suggests that something has happened, but that seems to be it. No sign of any activity still going on there.
