Are Winkworth really a high end estate agency?
I would not expect a high end estate agent to be charging both tenants and landlords, a practice that Labour's Stella Creasy tried to ban recently. The government agreed in the end to force estate agents to be upfront about these letting fees. Winkworth are not. Does this make them no better than any of the other letting agents on Green Lanes?

Bethany, I think that the matter is (historically at least) rather more complex, and John is rather more nuanced and better informed than you give him credit for - as I think both Hugh and Elan may agree. Besides he's no self elected sherif as he claims no descent from Muhammad's daughter Fatima; he is not even a self elected sheriff, though he is my deppity. However, as Hugh has spoken on this occasion, I shall say no more, though I knows wot I thinks.

Gordon, RESPECT! for being a better cryptographer than OAE. Bethany, congratulations for being more cryptic and witty than OAE, rather than apology from His Lordship for his response which the Moderator moderated with two little **s rather than two little ffs. As consequence, His Lordship is indisposed for the weekend and will not be receiving any visitors. He would like it understood that, in so far as a man can be sure, he is nobody's great-grandfather. Yes, how double-dare they do everything possible to maximise exposure of the flat to try and ensure no vacant let periods. There's clearly something just plainly wrong here. Lynch the buggers! Not really intended to be cryptic, Felicitá. Just recalling, like John, discussions from HOL's earlier days to the effect that those who set out to gain materially through HOL should contribute some small percentage towards its upkeep. That was some years before every newcomer assumed carte blanche about recreating HOL in their own image and likeness, and before HOL surrendered to the ephemeral housing bubbles which make life worth living for some members.
The rest of my crypticism merely alluded to Bethany's more islamic spelling of sheriff. I think that may be why she told me to fuck off, which leads me to doubt her islamic credentials.
