Apple trees needed in walking distance of Finsbury Park

Dear all,

I'm organising an apple picking day on Monday 3rd October. There's a few of us (about 15) so we'd like to split up into smaller groups and take any unwanted apples in the Finsbury Park area - in walking distance of the park. We have picking equipment. Please email me on jo@theorchardproject.org.uk if you have a back tree garden with apples you can't use, and are around to let us in between 10am and 2pm.

What a great idea.  I have two apple trees in my garden, though the crop has been pretty poor this year for some reason.  There's lots of fruit that I can't reach.  If you PM me I'll arrange to work from home that day so I can let you in.

Depends how far you want to walk, but a quick schlep along the parkland walk to Crouch End will bring you to  huge Apple Tree in the car park behind the library. Long ladder needed.
