Appeal following sexual assault

SAPPHIRE officers are appealing for help in identifying a man who followed a woman off a bus and sexually assaulted her.

The 27-year-old victim had boarded a number 29 bus on Seven Sisters Road N7 on the evening of Monday 12 July 2010.

It appears she was followed off the bus at about 23:40hrs and into Medina Road by a man.

The suspect then sexually assaulted her, forcing her to the ground.

She managed to run away, closely pursued by the suspect. He eventually fled after she shouted at him.

He is described as Mediterranean in appearance, aged 28-39 and 5ft 8ins - 5ft 10ins. He was skinny with dark hair gelled back and a gold tooth or crown at the front of his mouth.

Despite extensive enquiries he has yet to be traced.
