Indeed, and I certainly hope that that is the case in reality.
What I was getting at is, in response to the previous comment, if Sadiq Khan is elected, which is starting to look increasingly likely, he is unlikely in one of his first Mayoral acts to call in a planning decision reached by a Labour controlled London borough council.
Well that's my opinion anyway.

Don't hold your breath, Alastair. Sadiq has no history of standing up to his political bosses. He has also banked controversial campaign donations from big, powerful, property developers (like Boris did). Yes, it should be however both Labour and the LDs have unofficial whipping of councillors as often vote as a bloc.
