Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!
Anyone know where I can buy a sledge?!
Have tried argos and homebase and all stores in London have sold out. Was hoping to take the children sledging tomorrow but may have to resort to a tea tray!

Last year we had the same problem. Try calling Halfords and Sports Direct - although they will run out quickly. We actually ended up getting one from a company on ebay - and even got it delivered the next day. The delivery guy walked it down the road because he couldn't drive the van down due to the snow!

I bumped in to someone today who got some from "I think" the Homebase at New Southgate (just across the North Circular). They might be worth a call in the morning.

They had a few in Sports Direct this week - little round ones with a toggle to hold onto. But that was before the snow. Thick plastic bags work rather well, though quite fast on ice...

Thanks people. I've ordered one from Newitts online which will guarantee no more snow this winter!! Might get some heavy duty bin liners and give that a whirl tomorrow.
