Yes, I used to be in one and am good friends with the remaining members. They do a lot of indie/pop/rock stuff - they are now mostly doing their own material but I believe they're still available to play covers for a small fee.

Yes, if you want disco/soul/funk/Motown stuff - the Huggy Flares. They do a lot of parties and functions - even saw them at a place in Camden earlier this year and they almost took the roof off (although not literally). Examples of their stuff are on youtube and they have a website, www.huggyflares.com - oh, and they're very partial to glittery shirts and huge wigs.

The Blues of Cain. They are seriously good. Chaka Khan performs with them, that's how good they are. They do Funk, Ska, Rock, blues and reggae. Let me know what you need and I'll hook you up. B
