Harringay online

Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Anyone help with a reasonable / cheap furniture shop for a comfy chair?

With all the great responses to my garden centre query I wondered if anyone might be able to help with this...

I'm after a straightforward, affordable comfy chair, looking to spend between £100 and £200 (sure, less is fine if its still supportive and comfy)

I've found a few models that look likely but only on Homebase / Argos online - and there's no way of trying them before delivery (grrr)

So if anyone has any suggestions to this as well, that would be smashing...

Blimey ! £200 for a chair ? (only teasing)

I furnished my entire flat with the 'free stuff' section on gumtree.com (i had to pay £30 for a van for the huge sofa but everything else was entirely free)

http://www.gumtree.com/freebies/north-london

- choose 'for sale' section which has a 'stuff for free' section within it.

- choose 'london' then refine the area choices (north london, haringey etc) with the left hand side area choice menu.

- scroll through and choose your items and reply to the person who posted it.

I bought some lovely leather wing chairs in the bric-a-brac shop near the bottom of the Holloway Road a few years back.
Assuming the shop is still there, it is a treasure trove and v. cheap.
Worth knowing about guys, cheers, but anyone know of any affordable new furniture shops?
Ikea ?
Dwell  and habitat  but for £200 why not go the Heals Warehouse sale. Junk and disorderly in Crouch end do some great second hand stuff. I just got a load of dining chairs from them.
