Inspired by Ada Lovelace Day today, I've decided to stop putting it off and get a Raspberry Pi.
The kits they sell seem to assume that everyone has a TV at home that can be used as a monitor, but we don't have a TV, and now I'm regretting all the desktop monitors that I gave away/walked past on the side of the road. Before I go out and buy one, I thought I'd ask on here if anyone had a desktop monitor using up space that they'd like to get rid of.
(Advice from proper tech folks about using a laptop screen as a monitor would also be welcome. I don't see the same sort of connectors on the side of my laptop as on the back of my PC monitor in the office, but perhaps there are USB connectors that will do the job ...?)
