Any use for a slightly broken monitor?

My what-was-very-good PC monitor has died, it gives a ghostly green image then stops.  Does anyone want to have a go at fixing it?  Its a samsung SyncMaster 205bw 21".  I paid about £200 for it and can't bear to just bin it with no hope.  Collect from Seven Sisters or I can prob drop it off if not too far.  Pam  07855 903057
