Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Turner Prize-winning artist and musician Martin Creed is co-ordinating a nationwide bellringing event to celebrate the start of the Olympics at 08:12 on Friday 27th. Creed hope that thousands of people across the UK will be joining together to ring in the first day of the London 2012 Olympic Games. Everyone across the country is invited to take part.

This London 2012 Festival commission, "Work No. 1197" asks for as many people as possible to get involved and help to get "all the bells in the country rung as quickly and as loudly as possible for three minutes".

Anyone can take part by ringing any bell whatsoever.

I'll come round and ring your doorbell Hugh :-)

Shame only just saw this on the bbc news at 8.12 .
If I'd known about it I would have organized something in the community garden?
Shame would like to have been part of this ?

I didn't hear any. Was hoping St Ann's CofE would dingdong

St Paul's on Wightman Road had its bells ringing as I passed to go to work this morning.... I must say it gave me a shiver of excitement!

Yaaay - wish they told us - or that I'd had the time to ask.

Actually heard some bells around 9.12 - maybe they were just a little late? lol

Thanks for that. What a shame we didn't get something going here, eh.
