Antique oak captain's swivel office chair
A few years ago I brought this amazing chair from Madrid with the intention to restore it.
Although there were to workshops in Barcelona (M. Abella & Fanlo) making this sort of furniture in the 30s, this one I believe is American (there is 20's made by Johnson of Milwaukee, for example).
The wood is beautiful and it only has a thin layer of antiquarian varnish, it is why there are some marks of water on it. Therefore very easy to sand it.
The swivel system has a problem and although I think a diy person may know how to repair it, myself haven't tried to do so.
It worth seeing it. It just needs some TLC.
