Another Neil Prothero recommendation
We are selling our house and need an installation certificate and a safety certificate for the boiler, which was installed in 2006 (Vaillent – still going strong). Turns out the boiler was never registered so no installation certificate.
Neil came and did us a safety certificate (cheaper than the "reduced" price another plumber quoted) and offered to take on the responsibility of registering our boiler retrospectively.
He phoned a friend, who knows the ins and outs of these things and was told the boiler was too old but the solicitor could take out indemnity insurance at around £50 – considerably less expensive than trying to get a retrospective installation certificate anyway.
For the price of a safety certificate, I also got information that my solicitor should have given me.
And he's also so cheerful!

I would like to second this.
He came to ours this week for a safety inspection and a gas feed removal.
All work done to a satisfactory standard and a very nice guy too.

Called Neil today, arrived promptly and explained the issue. Needs to return to replace a part. Highly recommend too.

Yep me too. He just carried out an emergency plumbing job for me (blocked downpipe which was backing up). Fast, great job done much to my relief. And he knows the Ladder well. Recommended.

Neil recently came to fix a valve in my shower. What a guy. Three plumbers had refused the job before I called Neil and he rescued the situation. Very personable, knowledgeable and professional. I fully recommend Neil Prothero.
