Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Alternative bank cards

It wasn't until I lost my card the day before going on holiday, potentially disastrous, that I realised most people(?) have more than one card. I got various bits of advice about alternatives useful for abroad. Just wondering if anyone has views on eg the Wyse card and the Post Office card, which you can load up in different currencies. Would be grateful for any views. On other methods, too.

I use a starling card which I load up in sterling, and can use abroad at no extra cost. It’s pretty much my main banking card. Resolute do the same. Yes a.ways have 2 credit cards on holiday, just in case. One I rarely use

I use Chase, it has the best exchange rate and cashback. And for new customers a really good interest rate on savings.

We were using a Revolute card until we got back & found out they incur charges at the weekends & if you spend over a certain amount you pay an extra percentage, also you get a much better deal off locals if you use cash 💸 especially in Spain.

Hi Roslyn;  I wouldn't touch WISE with a 10 foot barge pool.  I've cancelled my account because of the poor customer service.  I will be sending them my cut up card when I get back to London.  James

Really? I don't have a card but I have always used them when transferring money across from my NZ account. Never had any issues.
