Altering front step access to basement

Can anyone recommend a builder to approach re very steep outside step access to my basement maisonette? Am getting on a bit, and either should move house while I can, or make access a bit easier! But maybe it will be more expensive than moving house!

I would recommend Patryk Magzdiak, who laid a garden path for me. He is multi skilled and can do lots of things, indoors and out. His work is to a very high standard and I think his prices are fair.
