Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hi all.

Just checked the website and all the tickets are sold out.

Does anyone know if you'll be able to access the bottom of Ally Pally with access in Hornsey?

If not, does anyone have any recommendations of where to watch them? I was thinking Priory Park or even the pub garden of the Great Railway Tavern in Hornsey.

Anyone have any better ideas?

Thanks

The tickets are for an event at the 'Palace'. You can watch the actual firework display from anywhere you like, Alexander park is huge

No James, the fireworks are being held this year as it is a ticketed event to cover the cost.
Oh okay. I wasn't sure if they were using the grounds to set them off and would be closing them off.

That's great though thanks!
Actually, are you sure you can access the park? If you look on the floor plan here http://www.alexandrapalace.com/whats-on/back-with-a-bang/#.UnFYbZkgGc1 it says 'no public access'? On the bits that I thought you may be able to view from.
You can't get into the park at all, that's my understanding. I was wondering about watching from one of the roads near Stationers Park as the have good views (but are a fair way off!)..

You are right.  All the roads like Redstone etc are being closed and barriers are already being put up around the park.  I saw a discussion on Streetlife discussing the best spots for viewing the fireworks without tickets.

Anyone know what time they're setting the fireworks off?

I wonder what the maximum number is. Given the size of the park, I wonder why it's so limited?

(Am I set to be embarrassed here as the obvious answer to this is pointed out to me?)

Well I wondered the same thing re nos of tickets sold & asked one of the local journalists if he would mind contacting the Palace mgmt to find out (as he'd written a 'sold out' article). Said he'd get back but I guess anyone could ring and ask ... shall we guess at say 50,000

30,000 is the capacity.
