Had the miss fortune to drive / crawl through there today Thanks to the resurface of Road the other side of Turnpike Lane
Seems they have Barriered Top Car park with people collecting a fixed fee of £3.00. From staff standing by Barrier
Joke is they have spent a large Fortune closing of the Pull in parking bays down the hill. With large Concrete blocks and Heavy rods.
Feel sorry for those that used to use them for parking and getting a train
Typical of Haringey spending large amounts to raise much needed funding
Seems the Opera is still operating in Lower Car Park

I have discovered that the £3 parking charge in Alexandra Palace is entirely voluntary “for the upkeep of Ally Pally” and nothing to do with the Council.
No indication anywhere that that is the case.Only officials, armed with card machines , taking your £3, the amount stated on a hand written sign.
How’s that for transparency? I am really shocked.
