A very lammy Christmas indeed.
Sorry to go posting on Christmas morning but mine has been almost spoiled already by an email from one D. Lammy with a 2-minute video attached, presumably wishing me a merry xmas but taking two minutes of my life to do so. Shot apparently (the video not the star performer, alas!) on the terrace of HP - fortunately the soundtrack didn't work so my ears were not assaulted. Puff puff promote promote self self etc etc. Was this the Star in the East those Wise Men used as their guide?
I'm sure I'm right in entering this Christmas crime of privacy invasion under Policing, Crime & Local Safety. Let's know, Jono, if you catch him.

We're busy in Lausanne Rd remembering the origins of Christmas and celebrating the little man's birthday.

John, as I think you may know, I've been studying the little man and his many antecedent myths since circa 1956. Nothing rehashed from wikipedia or even wikileaks will add or subtract much to/from that.
As for the wannabe Big Man from the East (whose star is now wavering uncertainly betwixt Stroud Green and Highgate) I didn't get his video because he happens to be my MP but because I made the grave error of signing up to a Save our A&E Petition which he had attached his Ubiquitous Name to. I also signed up to Lynn F.'s similar petition but so far she's had the good manners to avoid poking me on High days and Holy days. And for the better part of two decades Bernie Grant got my vote without ever stooping to the indignity of poking a Merry Xmas in my face or up my nose or any other orifice.

To the two Johns, Baptist and Apostle: thank you for your soothing words. I am now calm and taking endless hours of delight from replaying Lammy's soundless video. Ah for the days of the silent film! I still think better use could have been made of Westminster terrace and bridge and the County Hall background.

James, none of the four canonical, or the many other non-canonical evangelists ever claimed to have an Honours Geography Degree. And, as far as I know, not even one of the Wise Men (none of the evangelists ever said they were three, despite the three gifts) rode a Google Earthed camel.
