A safer West Green Road?
One of the first things I noticed after moving here is that you take your life into your hands every time you cross West Green Road. In only four months I've had that many near misses, and witnessed an accident on a zebra crossing too. The crossings seem to be treated more as a guideline than a rule.
Well it seems the council is doing something about it: this morning I noticed workmen starting to install lights at the zebra crossings. They had a trailer full of lights so hopefully they plan to do this at every crossing.

I started a similar thread about how dangerous St Ann's road is. It seems to be a consistent theme that roads round here are dangerous and the council seem to do nothing about it.
Take a walk along either St Ann's or west green road and you will see how old the signage and road markings are. That sure doesn't help. Proper traffic calming measures and enforcement need to be implemented.
