So sorry about your box hedges.

It's a very sad situation.

I've just taken my last box plant out as I just haven't the time to protect it any more but if you have there's lots more information about biological controls on this thread:

Thanks for the links and advice. Luckily, we've taken the action (1) you described using a biological treatment. They are devastating! Action needed quickly.

Hi Dan,

I've had several call-outs to treat this species in the last week and have a number of non persistent products that work extremely well in minutes.

It is however very important to ensure the inner core of the box also receives adequate treatment. I apply these products through a spray wand via a tank sprayer and pick up the dead caterpillars on completion so the birds don't get them.
