Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

A video from Jago Hazzard about the closed Alexandra Palace Line (now largely forming the Parkland Walk) and attempts to revive it, that may be of interest:

A Muswell Hill Metro?

I suspect that a key limitation to improved public transport connections of any mode (tram, light rail, tube, etc), in Muswell Hill, Crouch End, and its environs, regardless of whether it touches the Parkland Walk, and regardless of the financial climate, is that the opportunity for new development to help pay for any transport improvement is relatively limited in that area; and any such proposal will, all else being equal, be outcompeted by proposals that will help unlock thousands of homes and jobs.
