A much deserved Good Neighbour Award to my neighbour Bambos

Bambos lives a few doors away. I'm giving him my Good Neighbour Award for......for....well for being an all round good neighbour.

He and his old mum have always been friendly and welcoming. I know that if I ever need anything Bambos will be happy to help out.

What has just motivated me to write now is a knock on the door just now. "Hugh, the blackberries are ready. Hate for them to go to waste".

And so we're just back from his garden with a huge bowl of big fat blackberries - and another of plums. Earlier in the year we walked off with a big bowl of cherries from one of his cheery trees.

What a thoroughly nice man.
