Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!
A flag for Harringay?!
I met up with a few people earlier tonight to talk about the Fairlands summer event (which will be on July 15th in Fairlands Park). We were talking about the fact that there is a flagpole and how great it would be to have a flag we could put on it .. and before you know it (and a few drinks later) we'd come up with the idea of having a competition to design a Harringay flag, the winner of which would be made up and launched at the Fairlands event.
So over to you ... come up with a design, draw a clear mock up, take a photo and post it on this thread by June 24th. I'll work out some way of voting, and we can have a week of voting to identify the most popular design. Then I will dust off my sewing machine and work out how to make the thing up... With that in mind, my only plea is to keep the design fairly simple.
Any thoughts? Would people be keen? Crazy idea? Any way to get local schools involved?

Sorry both, I meant to post about this. I just ran out of time to promote the idea and get some more designs (and then of course actually make the thing!). But I'm still really keen - will come back to after the summer, perhaps see if we can get the local schools involved too.
