Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

This morning I received the attached briefing from Councillor Nilgun Canver about the situation with HMOs. Nilgun mentioned that it comes as a follow-up to David Lammy's "town hall meeting".

I haven't had a chance to read it. We'd welcome any thoughts discussion around it and Nilgun has offered to answer any questions.

Not the most pleasant reading :(
Denial.

The problem that you get when you convert all these "family homes" into flats is that you reduce the amount of housing stock available for the parents+children unit. I nearly got into a fight in the pub (kidding) a few weeks ago arguing with a guy who lived in Sydney Rd that my road was much worse than his. Mine is at least 70% flats, he said his was 75%. Ha ha ha, but the thing is we're being told by the council that 20% is acceptable.

For what it's worth, my house was converted from 6 bedsits back into a house in the mid eighties. There is hope outside of the council.
John, always saw you as a capitalist revolutionary. Where you been btw? Not one of those Chicago work freebies again!
One more point. Has anyone from the council replied to David Lammy's comment that the council found resources and money for parking enforcement but not for planning enforcement? I suspect they're just pretending it didn't happen.
