A bit of local film trivia - Woodberry Down estate in Schindler's List

Spotted a piece in the Standard yesterday which in passing mentioned that this estate (near Manor House tube) was used as a backdrop for some of the scenes in the film. Anyone know any more?

I couldn't find the Standard article online but googling brought up something similar from the DT:

The rebuilding of a housing estate in North London, so distressed that some of the buildings were used to depict the Warsaw ghettos in the 1993 film Schindler's List, is to act as a blueprint for the housing industry.
The Hackney-based site, Woodberry Down, is part of an unprecedented 25-year regeneration scheme which will replaced 2,000 existing homes with 5,000 new ones in a bid to tackle poor living conditions and provide more housing.

Provide more housing for who? Because in the posters around the new developments it's quite clear that the 'target market' is white yuppies rather than local residents, 'luxury flats' rather than (desperately needed) social housing. Echoes of mass deportations anyone?

I read the same article and even took a picture to send to a friend who lives in Manor House:
