Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Did anyone else see (or take part in) the procession along Green Lanes and onto Stanhope Gardens? Everyone seemed to be in good spirits, even the drivers who were held up by the closed roads.

Thanks for this Nigel (& for the photos on Flickr) - do you know where I can get a good primer on this issue?
KurdishMedia.com has some info on today's protest: http://www.kurdmedia.com/article.aspx?id=14196

and wikipedia has a piece about Abdullah Öcalan, who I think is the person on the flags and T-shirts: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abdullah_%C3%96calan the founding leader of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK).

Having read the two I think the protest was about "Freedom for Öcalan" and "peace in Kurdistan", so perhaps my title for this thread is a little misleading.
I did see that Kurds wrote PKK on the Turkish Bank (bottom of Ally Road) shop front in 6ft red paint, last week.
