Well poor old Haringey seems to have so many town halls they don't know what they're doing. Old Hornsey Town Hall's future seems relatively secure as a community facility. The Wood Green saga will, I'm sure, continue again sooner or later, and now I learn that old Tottenham Town Hall's fate is about to be decided.

Extract from a planning application below:
HGY/2008/2033 Tottenham Town Hall , Town Hall Approach Road, N15 4RY
Demolition of rear parts of the existing Town Hall Building; retention/refurbish ment of frontage building with continued A2, B1 and D1 uses, demolition of existing Clyde Road Depot buildings (retaining central part of South Ranger Building) and
erection of 4 blocks of houses/flats between 3 and 5 storeys comprising 109 units, associated landscaping, car parking and means of access.
This (with 2035 and 2036) obviously requires a lot of work. The developer is Newlon Housing Trust. I will check how much time we have to respond.Whether it will actually go ahead in the present economic climate is another issue.
