HARINGEY TIME BANK LAUNCH

As an organisation that cares about society and the local community in which it operates, we want to invite you to the launch of an exciting and innovative project ….the Haringey Time Bank.

The initial aim is to start in the Northumberland Park / White Hart Lane areas, and then see if the idea can spread to other areas of the borough.

Time Banks are growing rapidly throughout the UK . Why not join other local and national organisations who both support and benefit from their own local Time Bank? Come along to find out how your business can benefit from working with the Time Bank to achieve the aims and objectives below:

The aims and objectives of Haringey Time Bank are:

· Generating community spirit
· Offering practical support to residents
· Promoting healthy lifestyles
· Reducing anti social behaviour
· Increasing the skills and confidence of local people by promoting self worth
· Offering support to local community and voluntary groups
· Improving intergenerational relationships

We will tell you why Time Banks are so successful and there will be workshops and practical sessions to enjoy. Take advantage of this unique opportunity to sign up as a supporter.

Time Banks operate without money; they simply encourage people to exchange their time by offering incentives. Time Banks involve all members of the community, regardless of age, gender, religion, mental or physical disabilities.
