We would like your opinion on what issues you think we should be focusing on over the next few months.
If you have concerns about day-to-day crime and disorder issues please answer the four questions on the attached form.

Just post your answers and I`ll take them off the site and transfer them onto forms here in our office. No need to send the form back to us

Nice one, Glyn! You'll escape fat boy Boris's flailing boot then.
Trucks, trucks and more bloody trucks. Yes they are over seven tonne. I left a note on your page recently.

Where: Falkland Rd

When: all morning

Who: council rubbish trucks (not collecting from road), Jewsons, lots of others

If it's not dealt with soon I'm going to have to put up blight orange signs proclaiming that the whole area is infected with a mysterious and highly contagious disease .... that only affects truckers!
The council rubbish trucks use my road too but they're very quiet compared to the skip trucks. I've had no more skip trucks since the nice man at O'Donovan's said he would put a note in their pay packets.
When are the worst times or days John?
I'm good at the moment, like I said the rubbish trucks from the council creep up my street like in the Carling advertisement and the skip trucks have stopped. It was before 7am when it used to be a problem. Not that I was ever around much after then.
Effingham also getting worse for trucks - especially 6-7am.
It seems like this is going off on a tangent a bit.

The point of this consultation is to find out what where and when are the common problems that people have.

There are four questions

1.What is the problem?

2.When is it happening?

3.Where is it happening?

4.Who is involved?

I think the thread is starting to take on an HGV theme. I am aware it is a problem but I`m sure there are others. It seems as if this is now seen as a discussion about HGV`s. By all means if HGV`s are seen as the biggest problem I dont want to discourage you mentioning it but I`m beginning to think that future visitors will see it as an HGV discussion and not put anything else.

Am I wrong here?
I would like something to be done about groups of men gathering on the street corners/ outside the betting shops/ clubs/ pubs /offies after dark. Its a bit intimidating having to pass them on my way home! And I guess the problem is more noticeable now, seeing as it has started to get darker earlier.
If there is a Safer Neighbourhood team assigned to catching people dropping cigarette ends, could they also find time to do something about people driving through red traffic lights? You'll remember that amber means stop unless it would be unsafe to do so, and red means stop. Drivers round here think that amber means speed up and red means stop if you feel like it. This is a real safety issue, as opposed to the danger that someone might trip over a discarded cigarette butt.

And while they are at it, how about enforcing the law on using handheld cell phones ? I've seen someone reversing out off a ladder road into Wightman Road while discussing recipes. (Yes it was a woman, sorry about the stereotype :-) )

What? as above
When? any time night or day
Where? any street in Harringay
Who? Any driver - young, old M, F,
Hi

I am not sure if it is too late...however I am concerned about hermitage road and the use of the green lanes end by people to sit and drink all day and the leave bottles, sometimes broken on the street! There is also the issue about how the car park at the top of hermitage road is used (seems to be people sitting there in cars for hours!) and it doesnt feel safe to walk by. Also have the same issues as others have raised e.g. rubbish etc (lorries have recently taken part of a wall by car park, and one large metal post down!

I often feel that because this end of harringay is on the edge of the ward it doesnt get the focus it should have....however, my rant is now over and here's hoping!
Even worse it`s on the edge of Seven Sisters Ward and is not part of Harringay Ward believe it or not Carol
Many thanks for this update...I clearly had no idea! Do you have a map of haringay ward's please(unable to access on that provides details of streets) ..would be good to see where else is covered in Seven Sisters Ward and how close it is to harringay.
