Arena estate cleaned up a bit

I've been annoyed for ages by all the tatty banner advertising hanging from the railings of the Arena car park, and was planning to make a complaint about it when i noticed today that it's all been taken down. Presumably it contravened planning laws and they were made to remove it - every shop seemed to have something out there, usually hanging half off and flapping in the breeze. So although the place is still as ugly as ever, at least it looks a bit tidier!

This was the LCSP's doing (Ladder Community Saftey Partnership - the closest the Ladder has to a residents' association)

We have liaised with Wildmoor Properties to secure the removal of the scruffy and unsightly banners which surrounded the Arena Shopping Park along the corner of Williamson Rd/G.Lanes. These were very quickly taken down (5 August) and the whole area looks smarter and is also safer (clear sightlines) as a result.
