With gas prices a topic of urgent concern, it's no wonder bicycle-related innovations are coming fast and furious.

There are now several bicycles that are easily convertible into several different forms - stand-alone bicycle; bicycle with front-attached kid trailer; jogging stroller; and traditional stroller.

The options include the TrioBike, Zigo Leader and a number of options from Fietsfabriek

Does anyone find cycling on London roads with children a bit dangerous?

I dont see how they'd work here.

Maybe in an area that actually has proper cycle lanes, it would be a consideration, but Harringay? no way!
I regularly take my 3.5 year old over to Ally Pally and that involves Wightman Rd and a bit of Turnpike Lane/Hornsey High Street.... I like to think drivers give me an even wider berth.
