Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Attached is an extract from Chapter 5 of the Local Implementation Plan relating to Road Safety. It refers to £57000 to be spent on Wightman Road in 2006/07 for:

New traffic islands; speed cushions by new and existing islands; anti skid surfacing; hatch markings

Did anyone notice this happening or did the money just disappear? Was it when the roads were up for the gas? If so, why isn't it happening now?

Ah you found it! The extract, not the dosh. Maybe they buried it in the trenches Thames Water, Murphys, B.Gas were digging over that period.
We've had anti-skid surfacing eg by the lights at junction with Hampden Road.

I thought speed cushions were now regarded as a bad thing because of speed up/slow down and the consequent noise and increase in exhaust fumes ?
