Mega Mosque - Love the Building. What about the Builders?

I picked up on this via an interesting mailing related to the London elections (more on which later).

I love this building, proposed for a site in Newham near the new Olympic Stadium. And I'm not in any way suggesting that mosques are a bad thing. However I was interested to read that many of Britain's leading Muslims are opposed to the building of the mosque because of the group who's proposing it, Tablighi Jamaat.

I'd never heard of them. They're apparently a somewhat radical muslim grouping.
