Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

This from the Highgate group and site member Ralph Crisp:

PLEASE SIGN THIS PETITION AND PASS ON TO OTHERS

The Save Ally Pally petition to the Prime Minister, launched on 27th February, 2008, by Clive Carter (Stroud Green Residents Association, SGRA), has now been approved by the No.10 Downing Street web team and is already growing rapidly.

If anyone is remotely concerned about the declared policy of the Council regarding one of north London's most important buildings - and there is much to be concerned about - then please consider signing the e-petition to the Prime Minister, which can be found at:

http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/SaveAllyPally/

If you know others who might consider signing this petition, please forward either this email or the above link.

Thank you.

Ralph Crisp

For another well designed site on Ally Pally and the campaigns see http://carteruncut.blogspot.com/
Thank you Hugh for putting this on the website. I know that the Ally Pally isn't in Harringay, but its only a short walk away. Having glanced through the links, it confirms my worst fears of what has been going on on our behalf behind the smoke-screens. I shall be signing the petition shortly. All power to the campaigners at Save Ally Pally attempting to protect our heritage.
I agree that this is an important local issue. Firstly, although it's not in Harringay, it's near enough and significant enough for us all to need to care. Secondly, the traffic it'll generate will be local.

Add this traffic to the traffic from the Heartlands development, the new Sainsburys in Hornsey, the Arena and the Tottenham Hale development traffic, it'll affect us a great deal here as well ant development affecting an important local amenity.
