The following from an article the Wimbledon Guardian:
Haringey is part of a group of London boroughs which is among the richest parts of Europe, an EU survey has found.
The borough is part of an inner London group that has topped the table of EU average wealth.
The statistical region - also including Hammersmith and Fulham, Camden, Hackney, Haringey, Islington, Kensington and Chelsea, Lambeth, Lewisham, Newham, Southwark, Tower Hamlets, Wandsworth and Westminster - has personal wealth three times the EU average and a long way ahead of nearest rivals Brussels and Luxembourg.
Critics say the figures have been skewed by the super rich, including City traders and 300 residents believed to be worth more than £200million each, who live in central London.
Outer London is just above the EU average.
The poorest parts of Europe are regions in Poland, Romania and Bulgaria.
