Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

for more info see:

I want to see more trees on our streets - some Ladder Roads don't have nearly enough but Haringey should be planting trees as a matter of course (not via sponsorship) and they are charging a lot for a tree that probably costs a lot less to buy than £170.

It does sound a lot. Do you know how the residents on the eastern part of Hewitt got the trees planted?
Probably cheaper to buy a tree from Homebase and plant it yourself (or with a few others!). What is our council tax used for these days? Next they'll be suggesting we club in to sweep the streets! Anyway, insurance companies should be funding replacement trees (more suitable to houses nearby) each time they ask for one to be chopped. £170; that's a joke.
they might have applied for trees in the Making a Difference budget
Trees in St. Ann's Road came from application to Making a Difference budget
I sent an email around to Fairfax Road residents asking if people would be keen to club together to buy some more trees, on what is one of the least tree lined roads on the Ladder. The response was very positive so watch out for some more trees on our road, later in the year - apparently the planting season for trees is almost over and will not start again until October.
Adam, any update on this?
