It's the classic combination of the house vibrating with the thump of the speed humps and the decelerating lorry.
Jentle bird song and now the 5.30 jumbo descending to Heathrow, there's an ap you can point to see what plane it is, free software! (oh no there's all these interstitial ads like on the free calculator ap, Habitat sale that's distracting, how do they know I'm looking at tiles?)
Oo 2nd jumbo... 5.38 must be an A380
3rd jumbo 5.42, and someone's off to work in their car, now foot steps, the opening of a car door, a nice throaty sound of a car idling, and another bloody jet.
All of the above - thought it was just me

There is no way you can get back to sleep after one of those. What on earth are they doing using Hewitt though? Outdated satnav?

Just to mention again, if you read the online HGV forums you'll see that the drivers are well aware of the 7.5t access only restrictions and what they mean...

Is there an app for that? two passions under one screen
Happens every morning, 6am down Burgoyne. I know how you feel!

Up Lausanne Road at 6.15 today and this is not abnormal

I lived on duckett for years and now on Wightman. Boots wax earplugs completely eliminate any traffic noise. Might even work for HGV's?

I'm getting soft, we used to be in the Mansions on St Ann's, and there was this drain hole cover the bus used to aim for it seemed.
Time to commission a black and yellow sign with a skip lorry and a camera, now who do we send the photos to? We may not be quick enough, but it may deter them from entering your road, & they hate paperwork.
