Step into the story of Campsbourne Estate, shaped by the people who call it home. This resident-led local history project explores the evolving natural and built environment of Hornsey since the first streets of the Campsbourne estate were laid in the second half of the 1860s.
Through themes that matter to the community -childhood, migration, activism, and the rich world of gossip, myths, and rumours -the exhibition combines then and now in a lively, personal way with annotated maps, photographs and personal objects alongside powerful oral histories and first-hand accounts from residents.
On Saturday, take a deeper dive by interacting with our digital resource, created with UCL’s MemoryMapper.
Run as part of the London Festival of Architecture. Research supported by Harringay Online and the Hornsey Historical Society.
