Come join us for some FREE family-fun at Lauderdale at this year's Open House Festival!
Sunday Fun-day Workshop
Our family workshops are designed to share the history of Lauderdale House!
These relaxed, drop-in workshops are perfect for children aged 4 - 10 and include tactile and sensory activities, as well as crafts related to specific periods in Lauderdale House’s history. For September, we’re celebrating our local landmarks – you’ll get to learn about all the amazing buildings that surround us and sketch them to create a collaborative city-scape collage. You’ll also have the chance to discover the architecture of Lauderdale House, from our Tudor beams and fireplaces, to our Georgian ceiling décor – there’s almost 500 years to explore!
Please note all children must be accompanied by a parent or carer.
FREE Family Trail: A Walk Back in Time
Learn more about Lauderdale House with your family at this free self-guided trail.
Spot the Tudor beams, find the frog in the Long Gallery ceiling and discover the story of the dog who saved the House. This free trail is designed to be followed at your own pace and can be picked up from the Lower Gallery. The first 50 of children who complete the trail will receive a chocolate treat.
Lauderdale House is delighted to offer the September workshop and free self-guided tour as part of the Open House Festival, a London-wide festival that opens up and celebrates the city’s architecture, special sites and neighbourhoods.
