From stories and collections from Bruce Castle Museum and Archive, Curator Deborah Hedgecock explores local Jewish heritage recorded and seen through the eyes of artists, photographers, makers and designers living and working in Haringey. Including well-known names such as Bertold Lubetkin, Roman Halter, Gestetner and Harris Lebus, this beautifully-illustrated talk also shares the work of overlooked artists, hidden stories and moving testimonies from over the past 400 years - all greatly enriching or shaping British culture.
Places for this in-person talk can be booked via Eventbrite, please check the link here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/exploring-jewish-heritage-through-art-design-crafts-made-in-haringey-tickets-503752345827?aff=ebdssbdestsearch
Doors open 11:50am.
Free entry.
Is there any chance of streaming this talk on Skype or MS Teams, please, so people unable to attend in person can still attend online?
This is commonplace for many learned societies these days.
Thank you. NK.
Can I have the link please.
Louisa Spivack
Dear Louisa, I am so sorry but I have only just seen your message. I am afraid the Museum does not receive any notification of messages posted on this site by email for whatever reason, so I have only just been kindly notified of your message by Nigel (who also contacted me at the Museum). If you can please email me at Bruce Castle Museum then I will be able to assist you with the link - please email museum.services@haringey.gov.uk if you are unable to attend the talk live, then I can send you the iCloud recording afterwards when edited/ready to send. Hope that is helpful. Thank you. Deborah Hedgecock, Curator, Bruce Castle Museum
