What is compost? Why is it so important and how do we make it at Harmony Gardens?
In this workshop we’ll run through the basics of composting, the importance of reducing and recycling food waste, and the systems we use in the gardens, focusing on our new hot composting system. The workshop will include a short garden tour.

About
Harmony Gardens is a unique community growing space next to Broadwater Farm and Lordship Recreation Ground in the heart of Tottenham, Haringey. This hidden gem is a peaceful haven for wildlife and locals alike, with raised beds for growing organic vegetables, fruit trees, wildflowers and two wildlife ponds.
This 2 hour introductory workshop will be led by Mike Downs, our wildlife garden lead and co-lead of Lordship Rec orchard.

Suitable outdoor clothes and sturdy waterproof footwear (we will be outdoors for most of the session). Waterbottle (refills available).
