Haringey Young Musicians Stage Band

Haringey Young Musicians Stage Band is a seven-piece ensemble comprised of senior students from the Haringey Young Musicians jazz programme. Their repertoire encompasses standards, bebop, bossa nova, 70s funk, contemporary jazz fusion, and more. Their first performance at Karamel will be a great opportunity to check out the musical talent of the future.

Haringey Young Musicians ensembles are open to anyone of school age living or attending school in Haringey. Each group meets weekly for ten sessions per term, culminating in a performance opportunity with other ensembles. As well as high profile engagements around the country, many of our groups have toured abroad. In the last ten years, the Haringey Young Musicians Stage Band have taken part in tours to Midland (Texas), Durban (South Africa) and Sassari (Sardinia). Recent performances by the Stage Band include at the LIFT Festival in Hackney, several corporate events for Haringey Council and Haringey Young Musicians Festivals in the Royal Albert Hall and Finsbury Park.
