Date Saturday 12th April ’25
Time 1.00 – 4.00
Location Meadow Orchard (behind Hornsey Health Centre, N8)
Donations for plant sales, compost and propagators

What’s Happening on the Day?

Sow Seeds in Mini Propagators
We’ll be getting our hands in the soil and sowing seeds into small propagators – perfect for getting your garden started, whether you’re growing on a windowsill, a balcony, or your garden. We’ll have a range of seeds to choose from, including veggies, herbs, and pollinator-friendly flowers.

Swap Seeds & Plants
Bring along your spare seeds, seedlings, cuttings or surplus garden plants to swap with others. It’s a brilliant way to boost the variety in your garden and you might discover something completely new to grow!

Supportive, Beginner-Friendly Vibes
New to gardening? Our volunteers and seasoned growers will be on hand to offer tips and answer questions. This is a gentle, welcoming space to learn and connect.

Why Seed Swapping Matters
Swapping seeds helps keep our gardening more diverse, sustainable, and community-rooted. By sharing what we have, we grow more than plants – we grow friendships, knowledge, and resilience in our local food system.

What to Bring

  • Any spare seeds or seedlings to swap (labelled if possible!)
  • Small containers, yogurt pots, tin cans, plastic milk bottles, toilet roll tubes and envelopes if you’re taking seeds home
  • Curiosity, creativity, and maybe cake to share

We can’t wait to see what you’ll plant – and who you’ll meet!

Let’s grow something beautiful, together!
