Held in aid of the Hornsey Trust for children with cerebral palsy.
The Donkey Derby is a series of sponsored donkey races which go on all afternoon, with companies paying to enter, naming their donkeys and providing the jockeys. There is much competition between, this year, the local media (aka the Hacks Race) and local restaurants.
All sorts of events will be going on all afternoon on the main field, including a monster fruit and veg competition for children, dog agility shows, many side shows and about 80 stalls selling a variety of local products, plus organisation stalls and several food and drink points.
Sunny weather or not, the food and drink will reflect a theme from sunnier climes, although provided by local caterers. There will be spicy food from Thailand, crepes from France, Caribbean snacks, Majjo's Indian vegetarian dishes, plus other oriental dishes, American from Starbucks and, of course, quintessentially English Pimm's from the refreshment tent run by Hornsey Round Table, and doughuts and ice cream.

3.10pm Kat Neocleous - writer and singer of the theme tune for celebrity chef Rick Stein's Mediterranean Escapes TV show.

4pm Keith Airey & The Avenue Dukes - musicians join for their annual festival get together with Special Guests
4.45pm The Hornsey Trust Charity auction
5pm Brown Fox - rock, pop and acoustic music
5.30pm Odd One Out - punk band.
