Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

The following from the Bridge Renewal Trust:

This New Year, why not take on a new challenge by volunteering in your local community? Come along to the first Haringey Volunteering Fair on 27 January 2017, organised by Tottenham charity The Bridge Renewal Trust. The Volunteering Fair will give residents a chance to find out more about a range of volunteering opportunities that will help make a difference in their local community.

Taking place from 10.00am – 4.00pm at the Chestnuts Community Centre, 280 St Ann’s Road, London N15 5BN, the Volunteering Fair will bring together a range of local voluntary and community organisations, to  promote their volunteering opportunities and connect with potential volunteers.

The event will include stalls, activities and workshops, while networking and support will be available for volunteers throughout the day.

The Chair of The Bridge Renewal Trust, Rachel Hughes, said “Volunteering is a positive way to engage in your community and make a difference.  Doing a good deed for others keeps you active, and you can also learn new skills and meet new people.”

Hello!

Is there an opportunity for Coffee & Computers to participate in this event as we are urgently looking for volunteers. We currently run 6 sessions a month is 5 locations in Haringey helping (mainly older) folk come to grips with pads, laptop & smartphones in order to benefit from the modern communications environment. Our sessions are free and run entirely by volunteers.

Regards

Eric (info@coffeecomputers.org/07971019542)
