Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Anyone who drives, walks or breathes in and near   N4 might want to be aware of this:

www.islington.gov.uk/...and.../(2016-06-01)-IslingtonTribune-13-May-2016.pdf

Stroud Green Rd adjacent station is now closed southbound until December.

Does L.B.H. know about this? I thought that side of the road would be theirs. I wonder if  L B Islington is/are aware of the Wightman Rd. closure.

Should be extra fun when Wireless is on!

Try this link here, to read the details in Islington's bulletin:

Traffic diverts down Fonthill Road, where all the clothes shops are.

Yes I see one of the recommendations for re-routing traffic is that "northbound traffic should proceed via Seven Sisters Road, Green Lanes, Endymion Road, Upper Tollington Park and Stroud GreenRoad". Don't they know the current situation? It's bonkers.

Fortunately that was only a short-term diversion over the May Bank Holiday weekend, northbound traffic is now permitted I think. I'd have thought the left turn into Fonthill Rd from Seven Sisters Rd eastbound would have been better anyway.

Despite the assurance on the Islington site that the work will continue until 30 November 2016 there is an advance warning sign just north of the closure that advises that this work will continue from June 2016 until December 2017!!!  I have emailed Islington to find out if this is true!  And on top of this Wightman Road remains closed with extra traffic through Stroud Green as a consequence - madness...
